On this International Nurses Day, we celebrate the unwavering dedication and compassion of nurses across Benin, who, through their tireless efforts, ensure that communities receive the best healthcare possible. Their stories exemplify the resilience and spirit needed to create lasting change in healthcare. Today, we highlight three remarkable nurses—Annette and Clement—who, through their daily work, have impacted healthcare delivery across the nation.

Annette, a nurse at the Calavi Kpota Healthcare Center, has been instrumental in introducing the electronic logistics management information system (eLMIS). This innovative system has drastically improved the way health supplies are managed. Before eLMIS, "It took us three to four days to receive our orders," she recalls. Now, "I can complete the order cycle in 24 hours, significantly enhancing our ability to provide timely healthcare". You can read more about Annette's work here.

Clement, an experienced and compassionate immunization manager at the Centre de Santé de Calavi Kpota, is a trusted face in the community. With over a decade of experience, he oversees the immunization process at the maternity clinic, ensuring that vaccines are administered safely and effectively. Clement's strong rapport with families has helped many mothers understand the importance of and make the choice to vaccinate their newborns.
