Ms. Janean Davis has more than 20 years of U.S. and international development experience, including work with both community and international organizations. Most recently, she served as a Deputy Assistant Administrator (DAA) in the Bureau for Africa, where her portfolio included executive- level oversight and management for the West Africa Office and the Office of Sustainable Development. Prior to her role as DAA, she served as USAID/Ghana’s Acting Mission Director, providing strategic and management direction for the USAID country strategy to advance accountability, sustainable systems, and inclusive development. She has also served as a Foreign Service Officer in Rwanda,Tanzania, and Pakistan, and worked in additional countries around the world. Ms. Davis completed her undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Industrial Engineering from Spelman College and Georgia Institute of Technology, and joint graduate degrees in International Health and International Development at the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health and School of Advanced International Studies.
