Mr. Allelo currently serves as the Mission Director of USAID/Armenia.

Previously, he served as the Deputy Mission Director for USAID/Bangladesh and in various positions supporting critical development objectives. In Pakistan, he focused on open and transparent elections, countering violent extremism, civil society engagement, and gender equality. In Colombia, his portfolio addressed reparations and victims’ rights, rehabilitation of the disabled, reintegration of ex-combatants and former child soldiers, prevention of recruitment of children and young adults by illegal armed groups, and the elevation of civil society in political decision-making processes. In Kosovo, Mr. Allelo supported the Kosovo Constitutional Commission in drafting the new nation’s first Constitution, establishing its Constitutional Court and a completely restructured, independent judicial system. In South Sudan, he assisted that new country’s first government in establishing democratic institutions and facilitating its Constitutional drafting process. While in Bulgaria, his work adjusting the legal and judicial structures aided the government in meeting European standards for EU accession.

Mr. Allelo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, a Law Degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, and a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies from the Air War College in Montgomery, Alabama. Mr. Allelo is a recipient of the respected Fellows of the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division “Fellows’ Award” in recognition of distinguished service to the public and the legal profession honoring his “exceptional work in international affairs, international development and safeguarding legal institutions globally.”
