How can your company help fight COVID-19 in Guatemala?

Depending on the specific intervention, private sector assistance could take the form of: 

  • Expertise and skill sets (e.g., supply chain, data analytics, marketing/communications, technology and innovation) 
  • Use of company assets (e.g., locations for vaccinations, equipment)  
  • Collaboration with and/or funding of local or international organizations undertaking COVID response programs 
  • Provision of funding or donated items to government entities

Country-Specific Needs

Increasing Vaccine Access & Delivery

Logistics, Warehousing, and Infrastructure 

  • Support outsourcing of, or provide donations for, cold-chain maintenance supplies and equipment, especially for last-mile delivery in remote/rural areas

Vaccine Distribution, Planning, and Sites of Delivery 

  • Provide technical assistance to local partners in improving last-mile delivery, especially in remote/rural areas

Data and Monitoring

  • Leverage business intelligence expertise to analyze existing information systems and facilitate discussion of the data to improve vaccine roll-out

Incentives and Messaging

  • Assist local governments and/or the Ministry of Health with demand generation, dispelling myths, and mobilizing communities for COVID-19 vaccines, especially among remote/rural populations
  • Design, generate, and/or distribute targeted COVID-19 vaccine campaign messaging and communications that combat misinformation, especially in remote/rural areas

Expanding Availability of Tests, Therapeutics, and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Supply Availability and Logistics

  • Support procurement of PPE for frontline workers
  • Support procurement of, or provide donation for, therapeutics, molecular diagnostic tests, rapid diagnostic tests, and other diagnostic equipment
  • Provide expertise on data analytics for tests, PPE, ventilators, and therapeutics utilizing existing health information systems
