Patrick Robinson currently serves as the Acting Chief Information Officer.  A career member of the Senior Foreign Service, Mr. Robinson has 30 years of experience in management and administration, mostly in the overseas environment.   

Mr. Robinson started his career with USAID in February 2000 as a personal services contractor in the Controller’s office at USAID/Russia.   In 2002, he joined the Foreign Service as an Executive Officer and served in five USAID Missions: South Africa, Afghanistan, India, Iraq, and the Regional Mission for Central Asia.  

Returning to the United States in 2017, Mr. Robinson was assigned as the Agency’s Senior Deputy Chief Information Officer.  From January through August 2021, he served as the Acting Deputy Assistant Administrator in the Management Bureau.  

In his prior service with the federal government, Mr. Robinson was an Administrative Officer for the Peace Corps in Rwanda, Benin, and Namibia, and also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Upper Volta (now Burkina Faso). 

He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Michael’s College and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
