Administrator Power and Special Envoy Feltman convened an urgent high-level ministerial meeting on the conflict in Ethiopia. Participants underscored their deep concern over the humanitarian conditions and discussed how to end the conflict and deliver aid. USAID celebrated World Food Day by affirming our commitment to take stronger action to end global hunger. At the U.N. Food Systems Summit, President Biden pledged $5 billion for Feed the Future to expand its impact. Life-saving COVID-19 vaccine deliveries continued, arriving in Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan, The Philippines, Vietnam, and more. USAID announced additional funding for Zambia to strengthen democracy and governance and support agribusiness. The U.S. government is committed to partnering with the government of the Republic of Zambia on its democratic process.
