On November 3, USAID celebrated 60 years of global partnerships, providing humanitarian aid, and supporting communities in need. Administrator Power delivered a speech outlining a bold, inclusive vision for the future of international development at USAID. She announced initiatives to make aid more accessible, to center equity in development, and to respond to the needs of local partners. USAID launched a new website, WorkwithUSAID.org, to facilitate more inclusive and locally led development. The website is a free resource designed for new, current, and future partners to navigate how to work with USAID. It has been one year since the start of the conflict in Ethiopia, which is now one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world. We call on all parties to end the fighting, ensure innocent people receive food and supplies, and save lives. At COP26, the global climate summit, USAID announced initiatives to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions. USAID also committed to conserving global forests and investing in climate-smart agriculture research and innovation.
