ANNUAL SALARY:  Ordinarily Resident (OR):  FSN-8; US$12,581(Starting Salary)

Not-Ordinarily Resident (NOR):  FP-6; US$47,170(Starting Salary)

*Final grade/step for NORs will be determined by Washington.

The U.S. Mission in Hanoi, Vietnam is seeking eligible and qualified applicant for the position of Accounting Technician in the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION  

Incumbent of this position will provide a broad range of accounting and administrative support to the Office of Financial Management (OFM), including accounts payable, payroll and administrative support. He/she will maintain an electronic tracking system for all incoming and outgoing official OFM documents; receive vouchers, properly record and track payments; and serve as the OFM contact for vendor payment inquiries. The incumbent will manage and coordinate the activities of all timekeepers at the Mission as Lead Timekeeper for both US Direct Hire (USDH) and Foreign Service National (FSN) systems; serve as subject matter expert on both time and attendance systems; and ensure the proper recording, approval and timely submission of the Mission's time and attendance. He/she will provide administrative and secretarial support to the Controller, including screening incoming telephone calls, coordinating his/her calendar, and arranging travel, transportation and logistics for OFM staff, temporary duties (TDYers), and OFM hosted events.
