USAID Helps Vietnamese SMEs to Improve Sales by Establishing New Business Relationships

Thursday, August 22, 2019

The USAID Linkages for Small and Medium Enterprises (USAID LinkSME) project aims to help business and trade associations build Vietnamese Small and Medium Enterprises’ (SMEs) awareness of supply chain opportunities. From August 14-16, USAID LinkSME took part in the 11th Vietnam Manufacturing Expo (VME) organized by Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade. VME is Vietnam’s leading exhibition on machinery and technology for manufacturing and supporting industries. It was attended by 11,000 visitors and helped USAID  LinkSME build awareness of business associations and technical assistance to help SMEs become more competitive.

So What? Collaborating with MOIT to build Vietnamese SME entrepreneurs’ awareness of supply chain opportunities promotes private sector-led growth in Vietnam which supports the country’s Journey to Self-Reliance and advances the Indo-Pacific vision of improved trade and competitiveness.
