USAID's Clean Cities Blue Ocean project and Local Solutions for Plastic Pollution project supported the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi for their showcase forum "Supporting Vietnam's National Action Plan on Marine Plastic Debris," to share information about United States-funded efforts to improve waste management and reduce marine plastics in Vietnam. More than 100 in-person and virtual participants attended the event, including from the Government of Vietnam, NGOs, international organizations, the private sector, and students.

USAID and partners are helping Vietnam improve environmental safeguards and empower independent waste collectors for more effective management of plastic waste and the prevention of marine plastic pollution.
