USAID’s Hold My Hand project developed and held a series of courses for home-based caregivers to improve their ability to care for family members with disabilities.
Many persons with disabilities in Vietnam are cared for by a family member who has little to no formal training. These courses recently expanded to include six new communities, reaching over 300 caregivers. Participants learned about hygiene, sleep, and nutrition as well as safety concerns in the care of persons with disabilities.
