On April 15, in celebration of the Vietnam Disability Day, USAID launched two accessible tourist buses in Hue Province. These buses feature ramps and dedicated areas for persons with mobility issues.
Increasing accessibility on tourist buses, public buses, bus stops, and providing training for staff of transportation companies to better serve passengers with disabilities better ensures their inclusion in society. This expands upon USAID’s work in Hue where 10 public buses and 5 bus stations were made accessible to persons with disabilities.
