Over the past year, USAID has delivered technical assistance to 514 Vietnamese small and growing businesses (SGBs), including 307 owned by women. 82% of supported businesses have improved their business practices after receiving intensive training and one-on-one coaching, and some SGBs have recorded 7.5-10% increases in revenue. Through our USAID Improving Private Sector Competitiveness project, we are improving the capacity of Vietnamese SGBs, including those led by women and vulnerable populations, enhancing the policy environment, and strengthening the country’s competitiveness to foster an innovative and dynamic private sector that expands economic opportunities domestically and can compete regionally and globally.
