On December 1, we joined the global community in commemorating World AIDS Day. Meet Irina, an HIV peer navigator, from Kazakhstan, who works for a community-based organization that raises awareness about HIV and helps people learn their status and seek treatment. USAID works with local organizations like Ti ne Odin to address social stigma about HIV; provides counseling and testing in the community and provides social support for HIV treatment, in partnership with the Government of Kazakhstan.
