3D printing is a technology of the future that is available today. You can 3D print basically anything, from desserts to interior design models, and it is faster and cheaper than conventional manufacturing. 

While various materials are used for 3D printing, metal is the most promising. It is more expensive than using plastics, but saves on materials and increases output.

In February 2018, Olha Nos, a civic activist in the town of Ukrayinka and member of the DOZORRO watchdog network, was monitoring municipal procurements when she discovered an unusual contract worth nearly UAH 200,000, ($7,500) for restroom renovations at the Ukrayinka city hall. The contract called for LLC VLAN-Service to remodel and decorate the building’s restrooms.

Timely access to diagnosis and treatment makes a difference, especially in tuberculosis (TB) care. In many regions of Ukraine, inefficient or nonexistent specimen transportation systems delay access to TB and HIV diagnostics and treatment. Often, patients were asked to deliver their own specimens to the lab. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic worsened the situation as oblasts had to prioritize COVID-19 treatments, leaving TB patients, especially those in remote areas, to their own devices.

As a student, Dmytro became disappointed with the inefficiency of Ukraine’s healthcare system and its pervasive corruption. That was when he committed himself to finding solutions.
