Dear beneficiaries, partners and colleagues,

Every year has its memorable moments, and USAID claimed several in 2018 that will impact global development in general, and our efforts in Ukraine, more specifically.

October 2018 - The train ride from Kyiv, Ukraine’s bustling capital, to Kramatorsk, the new capital of the Ukrainian government-controlled side of Donetsk Oblast, is a modern, quiet, six-hour journey. With free wifi and televisions showing cute cat videos and animated shorts, today’s Ukrainian train is a reminder of the changes the country’s seen in recent years. These modern trains first hit the rails in 2012, moving travelers to cities in comfort across the country.

Dear beneficiaries, partners and colleagues,

This year USAID/Ukraine continued partnering with the Government of Ukraine, private sector, and civil society to stem corruption, deepen democracy, and stimulate inclusive economic growth.

At the core of the USAID mission remains a deep commitment to working as partners to aid Ukraine’s development and improve the lives of the Ukrainian people. This year we prioritized much of our efforts in support of the reform initiatives that Ukrainians are demanding.
