The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) joined by representatives of the Department of Trade, Industry, and Competition (DTIC), and the Executive Director of International Trade Institute of Southern Africa (ITRISA), celebrated the continuing achievement of South African exporters. This was at the second edition of the Annual AGOA Exporter Awards, to recognize and reward top performing South African exporters to the U.S. market.
The event is meant to incentivize and encourage export firms in South Africa to continue exploring innovative ways of improving their regional export competitiveness and to get their products into the U.S. market using the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA).
