Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS)

Speeches Shim

USAID/Somalia proposed a new five-year Country Development and Cooperation Strategy with the goal to see Somalia and its people more effectively withstand disruptions and increasingly drive their own development. The strategic priorities are carried out through two development objectives: (1) Targeted local institutions govern in a more legitimate manner, diminishing influence of violent extremist organizations, and (2) Enable marginalized Somalis to more effectively withstand shocks and stresses. USAID’s progress towards these two issues is essential to achieving diplomatic, defense, and development objectives in Somalia.
