The primary goal of the USAID Learn Together Activity in Tajikistan is to improve basic education skills for students in grades 1-4, with a focus on improving reading comprehension, critical thinking skills, and mathematics. Intended coverage is in at least 80 percent of primary schools with attention to regions with historically lower learning outcomes. The five-year activity (October 2020 – September 2025) will use an evidence-based instruction intervention to improve literacy outcomes and will provide training, coaching, and materials to teachers in grades 1-4. Supplementary reading and math materials will be made available to students to complement instruction and build academic and content-specific vocabulary and numeracy skills.

The USAID Kyrgyz Republic Agro Trade Project works to increase jobs and incomes in Kyrgyzstan by enhancing competitiveness of Kyrgyz agricultural businesses and expanding trade with Uzbekistan.

As part of the U.S. government’s global hunger and food security initiative, the Feed the Future Tajikistan Agriculture and Land Governance Activity will address the root causes of poverty, hunger, and undernutrition by accelerating agriculture-led growth, resilience, and nutrition in rural communities of Tajikistan.

A five-year, $18.6 million activity, USAID Agribusiness Competitiveness Activity in Tajikistan uses a market-driven, private sector-led approach to stimulate economic growth, increase employment opportunities and improve livelihoods, while enhancing the competitiveness of Tajikistan’s dairy and horticulture sectors.

The Government of Tajikistan has taken concrete steps in passing legislation to improve the quality and accessibility of goods and services in rural areas, notably addressing access to drinking water. However, progress remains slow due to a lack of capacity and funds. The USAID Rural Water Supply Activity provides a range of technical support to the Government of Tajikistan, specifically local governments, to deliver sustainable drinking water services in under-served rural areas. Creating access to safe drinking water will lead to the improved health and resilience of communities, while also supporting Tajikistan on its journey to self-reliance.

„Projekat reforme neporeskih prihoda“ je dvogodišnji projekat vredan 444.000 dolara koji u saradnji sa Ministarstvom finansija i Vladom Srbije podržava reformu sistema neporeskih prihoda u Srbiji reformisanjem regulatornog okruženja u vezi sa parafiskalnim nametima, kao što su naknade i takse (uključujući naknadu za isticanje firme, različite takse za razne republičke i lokalne administrativne usluge, itd.). Obzirom da se prethodni projekat bavio regulisanjem naknada, ovaj će se fokusirati na takse.
