Katie Kampf is Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Global Health.
She is an experienced leader in global development, government, and biopharmaceuticals who has led teams within the U.S. Government, United Nations, World Health Organization, and in the private sector. Previously, Katie was Head of Scientific Planning & Operations and Chief of Staff for Early Clinical Development at Pfizer, where she led a group overseeing planning, internal governance, business operations, and people management. Prior to taking that role in 2018, Katie spent her career in the public sector, working for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (where she spent time at WHO on multiple secondments), Center for Global Development, and Earth Institute. She began her career in global health working on health and development projects in Rwanda.
