Administrator Power attended the Global Climate Change Summit in Glasgow to advance U.S. leadership in tackling the climate crisis. Among the announcements of many partnerships and initiatives USAID shared a target to mobilize $150 billion in climate initiatives. Also at COP26, USAID Climate Change Coordinator Gillian Caldwell signed the locally led adaptation principles. USAID is committed to supporting local organizations in climate adaptation efforts and addressing structural inequities. We commemorated Veterans Day, honoring all who have served in the military, especially those who work at USAID. U.S. Global Malaria Coordinator Raj Panjabi spoke at the world's largest annual meeting on neglected tropical diseases. He highlighted the importance of leveraging locally led research as demonstrated in the U.S. President's Malaria Initiative.
