On November 13, a new shipment of USAID's emergency relief supplies arrived in Manila to be transported by the U.S. military to storm-affected communities. On board were emergency shelter materials (plastic sheeting) and hygiene kits to help 10,000 families.
This represents the third USAID shipment of emergency relief supplies to the Philippines. (A similar shipment of emergency supplies arrived in Manila on November 12. Also, an airlift of emergency food aid and arrived in Cebu on November 13. Both were transported to Tacloban and affected areas.)
