USAID Administrator Shah Delivers Key Note Address at Bread for the World and Concern Worldwide "Sustaining Political Commitments to Scaling Up Nutrition"

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On June 10, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Rajiv Shah will deliver a keynote address during the opening plenary session of “Sustaining Political Commitments to Scaling Up Nutrition”. The event will highlight the successes and accomplishments of the first 1,000 days of action launched by then Secretary of State Clinton and former Irish Foreign Minister Martin in September of 2010. This gathering will convene 230 stakeholders from civil society, faith-based organizations, governments and the private sector to discuss the importance of maternal and child undernutrition, particularly during the first 1,000 days window from pregnancy to a child’s second birthday.
