Today, Administrator Power met with Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai. Administrator Power thanked Thailand for its longstanding partnership with USAID and committed to working hand-in-hand to address the climate crisis, human trafficking, and the humanitarian challenges resulting from the crisis in Burma. The two also discussed combating COVID-19 as a top priority, and the need to get vaccines and other health support to vulnerable populations. They also discussed our growing cooperation with the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and ongoing work to help countries in Southeast Asia achieve sustainable economic and social development.
