This morning, Administrator Samantha Power tested positive for COVID-19. The Administrator is fully vaccinated and boosted and is experiencing mild symptoms. The Administrator has not seen President Biden in person for more than a week, and the President is not considered a close contact according to guidelines by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She will adhere to CDC guidelines and isolate at home while continuing a virtual work schedule.
The Administrator is thankful for the robust protection the COVID-19 vaccine provides and grateful to the healthcare workers in the United States and around the world working to increase vaccination rates and provide life-saving treatment.
