Today, Administrator Samantha Power spoke with Dr. Martin Fitchet, Global Head of Global Public Health and other executives at Johnson & Johnson (J&J). Administrator Power thanked Dr. Fitchet for J&J’s contributions to the global COVID-19 response.

Administrator Power expressed her appreciation for J&J’s participation in the Global COVID-19 Corps, a coalition of private sector companies that provide expertise on supply chain logistics and vaccination efforts in low- and middle-income countries. She also thanked J&J for the contributions of the J&J Foundation to the International Rescue Committee and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to support refugees in Ukraine's border countries. The two discussed future opportunities for USAID and J&J to partner together to further leverage J&J’s expertise related to drug development and the determinants of patient behavior, as well as shared interests in supporting the health workforce.
