U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Acting Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Latin America and Caribbean Steve Olive will travel to Mexico City and Chihuahua City, Mexico March 26-30. During his visit, Acting Assistant Administrator Olive will meet with government officials, private sector representatives, and civil society organizations to discuss citizen security, human rights, the rule of law, and anti-corruption efforts. Olive will also visit local community members, including USAID beneficiaries, to discuss the challenges facing at-risk youth and their families.
USAID is committed to partnering with the Government of Mexico, private sector, and civil society to prevent crime, improve access to justice and victims' services, strengthen civil society, and work with communities to make them more effective in combating crime and violence.
