Today, Administrator Samantha Power spoke with Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabić. They discussed shared priorities to enhance equitable economic growth in Serbia, further diversify the country’s energy supply and advance its green energy transition, bolster governance reforms, and maximize the potential of young Serbians. The Prime Minister and Administrator Power highlighted Serbia’s progress on developing its technology sector, as well as opportunities for USAID to help support further innovation in the country’s information and communications technology field.

Administrator Power noted that USAID’s partnership with Serbia continues to be anchored in the U.S. government’s support for Serbia’s European Union accession path, underscoring that the United States is firmly invested in Serbia’s success. She also thanked Prime Minister Brnabić for her longtime partnership and work with USAID on issues including local government reform and municipal economic growth.
