On March 5-12, Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman will travel to Israel, the West Bank, and Jordan. During her trip, she will meet with government officials and USAID partners and staff whose work and support are critical to USAID’s efforts in the region.

Deputy Administrator Coleman will meet with Israeli and Palestinian officials to discuss USAID’s support for the Palestinian people and commitment to a peaceful, sustainable two-state solution, as well as implementation of the Middle East Partnership for Peace initiative (MEPPA). In Israel, she will meet with officials to advance broader development cooperation in the Northern Triangle and regionally on issues such as climate change, water resources management and agriculture. While in Jordan, she will discuss the continued importance of the U.S.-Jordanian partnership and Jordan’s ongoing support for Syrian refugees. During her trip, she will have the opportunity to visit multiple USAID projects and meet with local community members who are engaging with USAID to build peace, prosperity, and stability across the region.
