On July 11, Administrator Samantha Power met with Ambassador Susanna Moorehead, Chair of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s (OECD) Development Assistance Committee (DAC). They discussed the continued need for cooperation on international development issues, including responding to the global food security crisis.

Administrator Power and Ambassador Moorehead discussed the importance of the OECD DAC and its convening authority, particularly to coordinate international development resources to address the mounting challenges that confront the world. Administrator Power highlighted the importance of increasing locally-led development by the donor community. They also spoke about the need to ensure continued commitment amongst OECD members to such challenges.
