Today, Deputy Administrator Paloma Adams-Allen will travel to Cairo, Egypt, for the Middle East and Europe & Eurasia Deputy Mission Directors Regional Workshop hosted at the USAID/Egypt mission.

The Regional Workshop will bring together leaders from across the Middle East, Europe, and Eurasia USAID missions to share best practices for leadership and management, and cultivate strong communication networks. Deputy Administrator Adams-Allen will meet with USAID senior leadership and staff from both regional bureaus to share updates about Agency initiatives such as increasing workforce support and discuss management and operational challenges Missions are facing. 

While in Egypt, she will meet with the Minister of Social Solidarity to discuss our partnership with the Egyptian Red Crescent and wide scope collaboration. The Deputy Administrator will also observe how USAID/Egypt is putting into action Agency priorities such as localization; inclusive development; diversity, equality, inclusion, and accessibility principles; and private sector engagement. Deputy Administrator Adams-Allen will also have the opportunity to engage with USAID staff and partners to hear about key areas of work in Egypt, including health, women’s empowerment, economic growth, and tourism.
