On December 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. EST, USAID Administrator Samantha Power will give remarks at the International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC) opening plenary on “Uprooting Corruption, Defending Democratic Values.” The U.S. government is partnering with Transparency International to support the 20th IACC, to be held in Washington, DC from December 6-10. Through the IACC, the U.S. government and Transparency International will bring together over 10,000 people – in person and online – from 180 countries to continue building momentum for landmark anti-corruption initiatives. USAID representatives will host and participate in events throughout the week.

In support of the U.S. Strategy for Countering Corruption, USAID has elevated anti-corruption as a core development priority and made significant strides in advancing that vision through innovative new programs, partnerships, and technical resources for countering corruption. In her speech, Administrator Power will describe the major policy and strategic shifts underway at USAID and call on our allies in government, the private sector, civil society, and the donor community to join us in this fight.
