On behalf of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), I wish joy and peace to everyone celebrating the Festival of Ridván.
The annual, twelve-day festival commemorates when the founder of the Baháʼí faith, Bahá’u’lláh, established the core Baháʼí beliefs grounded in the importance of manifesting peace and ending violence. Ridván, the most important Baháʼí festival, brings together Baháʼís in prayer, celebration, and voting for their spiritual assemblies.
Ridván reminds us of the importance of USAID’s work to foster a secure, peaceful, and prosperous world where all people are free to practice their religion or beliefs. We continue to build on decades of partnership with civil society, including diverse faith-based organizations and religious leaders, to advance pluralism and uphold human dignity for all.
