On April 13, Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman met with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renauld-Basso. They discussed ongoing collaboration between USAID and EBRD and opportunities to further bolster recovery and response efforts to Putin’s senseless war against Ukraine.

During the meeting, Deputy Administrator Coleman outlined current priorities for expanding economic recovery and energy resilience in Ukraine and Moldova, and expressed appreciation for the EBRD’s efforts in nuclear security in Ukraine following the full-scale Russian invasion. She also encouraged President Renauld-Basso to consider opportunities for further EBRD investment in Ukraine and Moldova’s economic and energy security, as well as the potential for increased partnership in the agricultural sector.
