Administrator Power visited Delaware State University to meet with President Allen, students, and faculty. She announced a partnership between USAID and the leading historically Black university to improve global food and water security. Administrator Power and USDA Secretary Vilsack spoke at a White House event on American leadership to end hunger and malnutrition at home and abroad. As of this week, the United States has donated 200 million COVID-19 vaccines to more than 100 countries with many more on the way. Power Africa awarded a new grant to provide clean power to 7 health facilities in Malawi and Uganda. This grant supports improved and expanded health services for children and pregnant women to save lives during childbirth. Administrator Power spoke at the Global Philanthropy Forum on USAID’s collaboration with the philanthropic sector to fight the pandemic.
