The Government of Liberia (GoL) reports two additional confirmed EVD cases in Liberia’s Margibi County; new confirmed case total remains at three. The Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) extends surge response in EVD-affected areas of northern Sierra Leone. The Government of Guinea (GoG) expands 21-day EVD case finding and social mobilization campaign to include additional hotspot area in Forécariah Prefecture.

The U.S. Agency for International Development’s Mekong Adaptation and Resilience to Climate Change (USAID Mekong ARCC) project identifies the environmental, economic and social effects of climate change in the Lower Mekong Basin. The five-year, $9.4 million project helps vulnerable populations in rural areas adapt to climate change impacts on water resources, agricultural systems, biodiversity, ecosystems and livelihood options.

The USG announces an additional $360 million in humanitarian assistance for the Syria crisis. Up to 150,000 people remained displaced in Idlib Governorate as of June 11 following increased conflict that began in late March. Attacks on medical facilities in Syria persist, resulting in the deaths of more than 600 health care personnel since the start of the conflict.
