USAID has partnered with Arizona State University (ASU) under the Vocational Training and Education for Clean Energy (VOCTEC) program to build regional capacity of qualified technical trainers and technicians to install, operate, and troubleshoot off-grid solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in the Pacific Islands.
The Urban Climate Change Resilience Trust Fund is a partnership among the U.S. Agency for International Development, the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development, the Asian Development Bank and the Rockefeller Foundation to help build resilience against the impacts of extreme weather events and weather-related changes that affect the urban poor in medium-sized Asian cities. The fund provides supplemental grants for investment projects, technical assistance and other support. Its total $150 million in grants is leveraging more than $1 billion in investments from public, private and municipal sources.
Building on previously successful initiatives, Philanthropy for Local Communities is a two-year direct grant implemented by the Trag Foundation, a Serbian civil society organization (CSO). The project’s goals are to increase civic participation in local communities and promote local philanthropy across Serbia. To achieve these goals, the project helps Serbian CSOs increase direct contact with their local constituencies, diversify their funding sources, and contribute to the development of local philanthropy—an issue of great importance to ensure CSO sustainability in in the country.
Jačanje odgovornosti izabranih predstavnika građana u Srbiji je dvogodišnji projekat koji sprovodi Centar za slobodne izbore i demokratiju (CeSID). Projekat ima za cilj da građane širom Srbije dovede u direktan kontakt sa njihovim izabranim predstavnicima, kako na nacionalnom tako i na lokalnom nivou, i da stvori prilike da diskutuju o pitanjima od javnog značaja.
Enhancing Accountability and Responsiveness of Elected Officials in Serbia is a two-year direct grant implemented by the Center for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID). The project brings citizens throughout Serbia in direct contact with their elected representatives at both the national and local levels and it creates opportunities to discuss issues of public importance.
Divac omladinski fondovi 2.0 je dvogodišnji projekat koji se realizuje u partnerstvu sa Fondacijom Ana i Vlade Divac. Program je namenjen osnaživanju mladih za zastupanje u oblasti mobilizacije lokalnih resursa kao i učešća mladih u izradi politika na lokalnom nivou. Ovaj projekat se nastavlja na rezultate koje je postigao prethodni projekat Divac omladinskih fondova koji je takođe podržao USAID.
Divac Youth Funds 2.0 is a two-year project implemented in partnership with the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation. The program empowers youth to advocate for local resource mobilization and youth participation in local policy development. This project builds on the success of the initial USAID-supported Divac Youth Fund project.
