The goal of Punjab Enabling Environment Project (PEEP) is to improve the enabling environment for the agribusiness sector in Punjab by promoting private sector-led growth.
- The Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) enacted a three-day stay-at-home period on March 27–29. Approximately 8,300 three-person teams—each comprising a nurse, a social mobilizer, and a community task force member—went door-to-door to distribute soap, promote good hygiene practices, and identify possible EVD cases. The GoSL National Ebola Response Center (NERC) reported that teams focused on EVD hotspot areas and did not deploy to four districts that have no current active transmission chains. To date, the NERC has not presented definite EVD-related data resulting from the stay-at-home period.
- In order to combat growing numbers of confirmed EVD cases, on March 28 President Alpha Condé of Guinea declared a 45-day health emergency period in Boffa, Coyah, Dubréka, Forécariah, and Kindia districts, as well as the capital city of Conakry, allowing EVD response actors to strengthen EVD response efforts. The declaration provides local Government of Guinea (GoG) officials greater authority to restrict population movements and requires that all dead bodies be systematically tested and buried in a safe and dignified manner. President Condé indicated that individuals who hide EVD-positive persons or persons not part of EVD response burial teams

WHO reports 150 new confirmed cases of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), including 95 cases in Guinea and 55 in Sierra Leone, during the week ending on March 15. The week marks Guinea’s highest weekly recorded total during 2015.
All contacts associated with the last known chain of transmission in Liberia have completed the 21-day monitoring period.
The EVD outbreak has resulted in nearly 10,200 deaths to date in Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone.
Despite progress made in reforming the justice sector, rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) remains weak.
Through this project, USAID supported the completion of the Gomal Zam Dam, a multipurpose facility located in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) near the border with Afghanistan. USAID funded completion of the dam, erection of electricity transmission lines, and the construction of the hydropower plant. This project aimed to increase power generation capacity in the country, protect downstream communities from flooding, and store water for irrigation of farmland near the dam.
The Peshawar-Torkham road project is intended to: Improve local economic opportunities Allow internal and international trade to flow more easily Offer employment opportunities for local workers; and, Extend and support the delivery of basic infrastructure services by the Government of Pakistan.
The Multi-Donor Trust Fund is providing grants to help communities in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and FATA recover from armed conflict and the floods of 2010 and restore peace to these areas. Funded activities include restoration of damaged infrastructure and disrupted services, improvement of government service delivery, and maintenance of local livelihoods. Ten donors have committed a total of about $140 million to the World Bank, which is administering the fund.
USAID, through its KP Reconstruction Program, supports the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's efforts to rebuild public infrastructure destroyed during the 2009 military operations against militants, and the 2010 flooding. The program is rebuilding facilities for education, health, water, sanitation, and irrigation. It also is working with the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to improve the capacity of government departments to deliver essential services.
