USAID’s Property Rights Program (PRP) is a four-year initiative that aims to address challenges to claiming property rights in Kosovo by assisting local authorities in developing a plan for the stabilization of the property rights regime. The program will work in partnership with the Government of Kosovo, selected municipalities, and other relevant local and international stakeholders.
Together with the EU, the program will assist the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) to develop a property reform strategy and amend existing property-related legislation.
The overall goal of the program is to promote free and fair elections in Kosovo through work with local organizations to conduct thorough election observation.
The USAID Contract Law Enforcement (CLE) Program is a three year program, which is working to improve rule of law in Kosovo and create a better business environment for economic development and investment. As such, the program is built around two strategic goals:
Advancing Kosovo Together (AKT) aims to increase constructive inter-ethnic cooperation and interaction, primarily between the Kosovo majority and minority populations, which is vital to the security and stability of the region. The program takes a holistic approach towards the integration of minority populations into Kosovo’s institutions and society by partnering with municipalities and other Government partners to support the engagement of targeted communities.
