Reopening of USAID Offices

Friday, January 25, 2019

On January 25, 2019, the President signed a Continuing Resolution through February 15, 2019, that brings Agency employees and other staff back to work and recommences all Government functions shut down during the lapse in appropriations. All employees who were on furlough because of the absence of appropriations are instructed to return to work in accordance with their normal schedules on their first day of the workweek. To assist furloughed employees in transitioning back to work status, unscheduled telework and/or unscheduled leave are authorized through Wednesday, January 30, 2019. Employees must coordinate unscheduled telework and leave with their supervisor.

We greatly appreciate your resilience, patience, and understanding during this time. Now that Congress has passed a Continuing Resolution, let us resume the critical work in which we are all engaged to advance the national security interests of the American people and allow us to be good partners to our friends, allies, and beneficiaries around the world.

Thank you again for all you do to advance the interests of the American people every day, and to fulfill the mission of our Agency.
