On March 16 and 17, the Trade and Investment Forum will bring together more than 150 public and private sector representatives from Pakistan and the Kyrgyz Republic. Participants will discuss opportunities for advancing their economics by increasing exports, trade, and investments. The Forum is organized by the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID), the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan, and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. 

The two-day forum will kick off at 9:30am on March 16, 2023, at the Sheraton Hotel (148B Kievskaya Str).  It features presentations by companies and governments, business-to-business meetings, and site visits to explore trade opportunities. The delegation from Pakistan includes representatives of more than 40 businesses.

USAID Mission Director Kaya Adams, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Totuiaev Ulanbek, Director of the National Agency of Investments under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Temiraliev Umbriel, and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Temir Sariev are expected to attend.

Bolstering economic growth by strengthening economic ties in the region and diversifying export markets is one of the key areas of cooperation between the United States and the Kyrgyz Republic. The forum is a part of USAID’s broader efforts to economic growth by supporting more than 100 businesses in the last four years and generating over 18,000 seasonal and permanent jobs.
