2020 Annual Report Annex Geographic Targeting

Speeches Shim

In designing our new CDCS (2020-2025), USAID reflected on lessons learned from our previous strategy and the intersection of USAID and GOI development priorities.

A key lesson learned from the previous CDCS was the need to better align USAID’s work with GOI development plans, systems, and organizational structures.

Due to the size and geographical diversity of Indonesia and the variance of development by islands, geographic targeting is important for achieving measurable outcomes.

The CDCS 2020-2025 reoriented national level programming through geographic targeting to maximize development impact.
