The USAID/Guinea Mission would like to invite you to a workshop to co-create our Youth Rural Entrepreneurship Activity. The Co-Creation Workshop aims to jointly identify and develop with USAID the interventions that will best achieve the desired results of economic empowerment and promotion of youth rural entrepreneurship in the Faranah region. A series of four workshops will be held, one in each of the four prefectures of the Faranah region (Kissidougou, Faranah, Dinguiraye, Dabola), during July 2022.

Entities or individuals who desire to participate in one of the workshops are requested to respond to the attached survey, either using the following link here or by emailing your response to conakryoaa@usaid.gov to communicate your answers to the below questions.

The survey questions are as follows:

  • Email address of entity/ Individual
  • Name of entity/ Individual
  • Name and phone number of point of contact for entity/Individual
  • The geographic location of your entity in the Faranah region
  • One to two sentences describing your entity’s vision of economic development and youth rural entrepreneurship in the Faranah region
  • Two areas of knowledge your entity will bring to the workshop will help USAID better understand the challenges and opportunities for youth rural entrepreneurship in the Faranah region.

Entities are encouraged to nominate a female representative and an optional second participant, if desired, to participate in the workshop. Childcare services will be made available during the workshops, in order to promote participation of people with families.

USAID expects that all entities’ chosen participant(s) in this workshop will have subject matter expertise and a good understanding of Guinea’s youth rural entrepreneurship context, methods of economic empowerment of women and people with disabilities, and regional development prospects. USAID will select relevant participants for each workshop from the responses received; entities that do not nominate a female participant will not be considered. The deadline for receiving responses to this invitation is July 11, 2022, at 08:00 AM, Guinea local time. A detailed workshop agenda will be shared with all selected participants before the workshop.
