Rainwater harvesting is based on the collection and storage of rainwater runoff, a method that has become an environmentally friendly solution to bring domestic water to the families of Quiché.
USAID's Communities Leading Their Development (CLD) project implemented by CRS helps communities improve their domestic assets with rainwater harvesters that allow them to capture water during the rainy season and use it in the dry season.
