USAID is the world’s largest provider of international food assistance. For more than 60 years, USAID has brought hope and nourishment to the hungry corners of the world. USAID provides development food assistance to target the underlying causes of hunger and malnutrition. These activities aim to reduce chronic malnutrition among children under five and pregnant or lactating women, increase and diversify household income and strengthen and diversify agricultural production and productivity to build resilience and increase food security.
