Faith-based and community organizations serve some of the most vulnerable populations in the world.  They are often the first in and the last to leave, and uniquely qualified to identify and meet local needs.  USAID's Center for Faith and Opportunity Initiatives (CFOI) works to strengthen the Agency’s collaboration with faith-based and community organizations.

In May 2020, CFOI hosted the webinar, “COVID-19 Practical Innovations and Ongoing Lessons Learned." The event included presentations from Dr. Kenneth Staley, Executive Director of USAID's COVID-19 Task Force, as well as field-based organization leaders who have developed practical innovations to address COVID-19 while maintaining their core functions under quarantine.
