Dominican Republic
Over the past 60 years, USAID, in close partnership with the people and government of the Dominican Republic, has invested approximately $1.9 billion in the development of people living in the Dominican Republic. Some USAID programs also target and impact neighboring Caribbean countries such as Jamaica and Eastern and Southern Caribbean island nations. Today, USAID collaborates with actors in key sectors such as citizen security and anti-corruption; education; climate resilience; energy; biodiversity; food security; health; vulnerable populations and human rights.
