USAID’s Justice Activity (the Project), implemented by Chemonics International, is seeking grant applications from qualified locally registered Kosovo non-government organizations to create, implement and promote innovative ideas, mechanisms and solutions that will contribute to increasing the trust and confidence of citizens in the justice system. The grants will be awarded and implemented in accordance with USAID and US Government regulations governing grants under contract and the Project’s internal grant management policies. The Project has three main objectives:

(1) Quality and Accessibility of Justice Services Improved

(2) Citizen Understanding, Engagement, and Trust of the Justice System Improved

(3) Effective Innovations in the Justice Sector Developed

The proposed projects under this call for applications, should focus on designing activities that will help establish partnerships with service providers in the justice system and propose innovative approaches in solving the problems that citizens face in accessing justice services. Additionally, projects should be looking into activities focused on increasing the level of information of the public for the available services with special emphasis on informing groups which are at a disadvantage compared to the majority of the population, and mobilizing, lobbying and advocating for transparency and accountability in justice system and improved service delivery.

This Solicitation of grant applications will remain open for 12 months from the release date. To qualify for consideration, interested organizations are required to complete a full grant application and other annexes according to the eligibility criteria and detailed instructions for applications as per the Annual Program Statement, which can be requested by email to the following address: grants@justiceactivity-ks.org        

Applications in electronic version should be sent to the attention of Mr. Agron Selmani, Grants and Subcontracts Specialist, at grants@justiceactivity-ks.org. The deadline to be considered and evaluated among the first group of Applications is 3:00 pm on April 19, 2021. Subsequent reviews will be conducted on quarterly basis.

Chemonics is a USAID contractor implementing the Justice Activity in Kosovo.
