Democracy Officer

The incumbent will serve as the Asia Regional Coordinator in the PLI Office. The Regional Coordinator will be the primary liaison between the DRG Bureau and the USAID Asia Regional Bureau and the respective field Missions in the region and assist other Regional Coordinators covering other regions as needed. 

As the Asia Regional Coordinator, you will:

• Engage, advise, and support USAID field Missions on a broad range of DRG issues, provide backstopping on high visibility projects, and connect field staff with various sector experts when needed;
• Provide counsel on DRG strategic and budget planning for USAID Missions in the region;
• Participate in intra-agency and interagency policy engagement on country-specific DRG issues; and
• Provide technical assistance to Missions (for example related to DRG assessments, evaluations, or project designs).
