This report to Congress summarizes the partnerships the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) funded with U.S. higher-education institutions (HEIs) during Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 under Title XII of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended (Public Law 87-195). The report focuses on the Agency’s collaboration with its Title XII U.S. universities to address global food-security challenges through investments in agricultural research, education, extension, and capacity-building, as well as through allied programs in nutrition, resilience, water and sanitation, the management of natural resources, policy-formulation, and trade.
