USAID Accountability Mechanism
USAID’s principle of “do no harm” is supported by our Social, Economic, and Environmental Accountability Mechanism – we call it the SEE-AM.
The SEE-AM provides a clear path for individuals and communities affected by USAID programming, or their authorized representatives to file a complaint or concern about social, economic, or environmental harms related to USAID-funded projects and activities. It is important to know that the SEE-AM is built on trust and safety. If you file a complaint, your name and contact information will be kept confidential to the extent the law allows, and we have a zero-tolerance policy for coercion, intimidation, or retaliation.
The SEE-AM will launch in 2025. Please click the links on this page to learn more about the SEE-AM and how you will be able to use it.
